My name is Brandon Barney, and in 2019 I created Modern Mister to help others find the unique ties that they love. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to find ties that don’t fit the ‘normal’ standard of what men typically wear, and some of my favorite ties that I wear defy this expectation of normal, and it’s these ties that made me feel unique, and special among a sea of blue, black and gray. With Modern Mister, I hope to empower anyone to find the ties that they love, and make them feel special, even if those ties are far from normal.
One of the best ways for someone to make the perfect first impression is to improve how you look. Your appearance goes beyond the clothes you wear, or how you cut your hair because how you feel about how you look is just as important as the colors or patterns that you put on your body. If you don’t feel good about how you look, there isn’t a tie in the world that can make up for it. Something as simple as finding the right color tie, perfect bowtie, or the unique pocket square can make a huge difference in how the world sees you. This is why it’s so important to give yourself a variety of options to choose from so that you can match your look to how you feel each day.
